Q: If I purchase a photo, how will it be sent to me?
A: Your photo(s) will be sent to you via e-mail as an attachment. We sometimes compress the attachments using WinZip (the format is .zip files). If you do not have software installed that can unzip these files, visit http://www.winzip.com where you can download free software to unzip your photos.

If your order is very large we may send several separate e-mails or we may provide you with a web location to download the files directly.

Q: How long does it usually take for photos to be sent?
A: We are a small company and we personally process all our orders manually, so photos are typically delivered within 2 business days in normal circumstances.

If it has been longer than 48 hours, you can inquire on your order by e-mailing us at support@cottagecam.ca.

Q: What format are photos provided in?
A: Photos are provided as high resolution files in the compressed JPEG (.jpg) format. This is the same format used by most digital cameras.

Q: What should I do to get my photo printed?
A: You may bring your digital photo on a CD or send it by e-mail to any reputable photo printing service. You simply need to specify the size of photo you would like printed and they do the rest. Cottagecam photos can generally be enlarged up to a maximum size of 16 by 20 inches with no significant loss of quality.

Here are a number of available services in Canada in alphabetical order:

Q: I don't know much about digital pictures, can Cottagecam arrange the printing of my photo for me?

If you would like assistance in arranging the printing of a photo after you have purchased it, simply e-mail us at support@cottagecam.ca with your order information and telephone number, and we will forward your photo to Toronto Image Works for you. They will contact you to discuss size, finish, delivery and billing. These services are provided by Toronto Image Works at an additional cost.

Q: What if I am interested in a photo of my property, but there are parts of the photo I would like to remove (such as a neighbours house or  etc.) or I think the photo colour is not ideal, what can I do?
A:
Because Cottagecam captures photos in bulk, we cannot always ensure that every photo will be perfectly exposed or include the ideal perspective. However, since all Cottagecam photos are provided in a digital format, you can modify the photos yourself (using photo editor type software), or you can bring them to a photo development shop and ask them to modify the photo for you. You can easily crop a photo (cut off sections) or modify the colour intensity and shading. For some examples, visit our photo tips page for more information.
